P mainspring housing LEE hardness mainspring housing . Determine the hardness of the alloy we have created. Place the testator on a single station press . Fit the special Shell Holder that comes with the kit. Place the p mainspring housing to be tested on the special Shell Holder and press it with the bullet of the testator. Hardness is measured with the LEE microscope (included) and checked against the table supplied. The process involves pressing a penetrator hardened steel ball into the bullet through the use of a standard single stage press . Bleeding is measured with the Lee pocket microscope (included). The measurement is in the table provided to determine the Brinnell hardness number.
